The mangrove forest at Ao Thalane (Thalane Bay) is widely considered one of the most beautiful and pristine coastal mangrove ecosystems in Thailand. Located roughly 35 kilometers northwest of Krabi Town and 25 minutes from Ao Nang, this narrow bay is a dense, maze-like network of emerald waterways sheltered by towering limestone karst cliffs. It functions as a critical marine nursery and is famous globally as a premier sea kayaking destination.
